Music against racism

About us

Music Against Racism Project

This projects aims to confront racism, primarily through Dominican music and its power as a symbol of Dominican identity. We hope to encourage the creation of music that deals with race-based prejudice in the Dominican Republic, as well as that encountered by Dominicans living abroad.

While primarily inspired by the current tension surrounding the status of Dominicans of Haitian descent, we aim to inspire reflection and discussion on race and racism in all its forms.
